Goat Milk: Contains lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid that aids in skin rejuvenation; skin nourishing vitamins and proteins; moisturizing; the pH levels of goat milk is close to our human natural skin pH level allowing for better penetration of moisture and nutrients into the skin.
Coconut Oil: Moisturizing, Coconut provides a rich lather and adds to hardness. A little goes a long way, too much can be too effective.
Olive Oil: Moisturizing, antioxidant. Excellent for dry or mature skin and gives your skin a radiant and even complexion.
Sunflower Oil: Similar to olive oil with a lighter more cleaner feel. Can have a sticky feel but your skin will feel so amazing when sunflower oil is used. We'd use a ton of sunflower oil, but too much can make bar soap soft.
Palm Oil: We use an organic sustainable palm, because of deforestation in tropical regions. Palm oil is pretty much a necessity in making a harder, stable bar of soap with creamy lather for a longer lasting bar.
Shea Butter: Heals, softens and moisturizes. Excellent for dry skin.
*Harlem Soap does NOT add Parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, unnatural preservatives, genetically modified oils (GMO) or petroleum products to our soaps.
